NOTICE: June 12, 2013 - Hi everyone, heads up on the spraying of the lake. If you haven't heard, it will take place on Wed., June 12 around mid-day. Guess they will be at the lake a few hours earlier to set things up and launch the air boat at Putnam's place. This is weather permitting because they won't spray if it's raining. There will be a 48 hour moratorium on the use of the lake (fishing, swimming, boating, etc). The water shield is really popping up now which makes it a good time to do it. Signs will be posted all around the lake. After it is done, there may be a discoloring of the water but that is temporary and will disappear shortly. That's it for now. Freddie
Nuisance Black Bears at Beaver Lake. . . . . .
Here's a good reason not to leave any garbage on your porch. At around 3:00 AM Joe & Eileen were awakened by some noise on their cottage's screened in porch. It was a young Black Bear trying to get at some garbage that was left on the porch.
